Come along for the afternoon of bridge.

The Newbies Bridge Club is celebrating the renovation of its playing rooms and is inviting bridge players of all level and all newcomers wishing to try this wonderful game to visit our club on Sunday, 23 November from 2 pm to 5 pm for the afternoon of bridge.

The club’s committee put a lot of efforts to organised very interesting programme for the afternoon, so please come along to meet new friends and have some fun. The programme for the afternoon of bridge includes:

  • Welcome message from the club’s president.
  • Presentation of the new playing rooms.
  • Introductory lessons for the beginners.
  • Afternoon tea with the homemade scones.
  • Fun activities with the spot prices.

For all new members who decide to join our club on the day will be special surprise.

It’s not a problem if you don’t know how to play this great card game – come along and join one of our introductory lessons. Who knows you maybe our next club champion?

Doesn’t matter what age you are, no one is ever too old to learn to play bridge. The club guarantees that its friendly instructors will have novices playing in no time at all. And you don’t even need to bring a partner to play with. One will be provided.

Other than making new friends and having a great social activity, bridge is good for your brain. It is just the type of mental activity that fights off memory loss.

So come along on 23 November any time between 2 pm and 5 pm, and give it a go!

The Newbies Bridge Club is located in the central city of Auckland at 45 Manawatu Street. The club has 20 off street parking lots, and if you come early enough, there is a good chance you may get one.

We hope to see you at the club!

    Hello
I would really like to go to the bridge afternoon. However, I have never played bridge before, and I’m nervous. Could I organise a one-on-one lesson with one of your instructors, before the bridge afternoon. Alternatively, what should I do, to gain some confidence?

      Hello,
The website and the blog were created as an assignment for the Web writing course. So if you are a student from the same course, then just ignore my message. If you have a real interest, then sorry to disappoint you but the club doesn’t exist.

I have been looking at your website and am keen to join the Newbies Bridge Club. I am new to the area and I would like make some new friends and thought your club sounded like it might be fun. I have had a go at bridge some years ago and did enjoy it but I’m not sure that I remember all that much. I really like the fact that it sounds so supportive and I especially like the idea of being able to come along by myself and have a partner provided to play with.
